(Opening scene standing with a red car)

Coach: Hey listen. Ten of you are gonna push the car, once we get out there the rest of you hold the helmets and collect the money. Understood. Be careful and don’t get your feet run over while we’re out there. Any questions?
Tinker: Matter the fact I do have a questions.
Coach: What is it Tinker?
Tinker: Why are we pushing this damn car
Coach:: One, you need to watch your language. Two, the next time I see you I want what ever that is on your upper lip shaved off. And I’ll tell you why we’re pushing the car, because it’s a fun football fun raiser. And we’re all going to have fun so, so we’re all going to put smiles on our faces, right about now. Team comes out, town comes out, money gets exchanged. It’s a good thing. Understood.
Tinker: Got it coach
Coach: Be kind and courteous out there, let’s go

While pushing the car talking to Vince
Tinker: Not feeling the love out there, you feeling love?
Vince: Tink, shut up and stop sweating on me and push this piece of junk, ok.

Tami: Hypocrites are everywhere…it’s not just in church.
East Dillon Principal: Let’s start finishing games before we buy new uniforms.
Coach Taylor: What’s that supposed to mean?
Sherman: It smells like old pizza in here.
Matt: That’s how I pay for gas!
Matt: What would you say is the most important tool for an artist to have?
Sherman: What’s with you and all the questions?
Matt: You just told me to talk!
Sherman: The most important tool an artist can have is selfishness. It means you’re going to spend your life trying to express some dark corner of your life…you’ll express your love, thoughts on God and everything else. So you gotta push away everyone in the way and be selfish to get it out.
Jess: Wow, I’m good!
Landry: Yeah, I don’t think that’s every going to happen again. Especially when there’s thousands of fans around.
Jess’ brother: What fans?
Landry: You know, at an away game or something.
Buddy: I got something to say to everybody, I hate to spoil the party but this is to everybody: I’m not a Panther anymore! You used to be my friends, but you’re not anymore! I used to believe in the Panthers, but there’s nothing to believe in anymore. It’s not the way it was when we were kids.
Sherman: Who the hell are you?
Julie: I’m Julie, Matt’s girlfriend.
Sherman: So you’re the blonde that’s been dragging him down. I think I married you about 20 years ago!
Coach Taylor: Listen up gentlemen…they (the uniforms) may be new, but they’re still work clothes. Let’s go to work!
Tami: I think it’s good your’e questioning your faith, I just want you to have faith…something that you can hold on to, when I can’t hold on to you.

someone said they heard that the line when coach tells Tinker to shave off his mustache wasn’t really in the script – that Kyle Chandler was just messing with Tinker…and then Tinker had to go and really shave it off now that it was said in the show!
