We are pleased to announce that the band Great Northern, whose song “Driveway” was featured in Friday Night Lights episode 4.05 “The Son” will be our guest on the 19th edition of the Friday Night Lights Fan Podcast. This L.A. based quartet has been called everything from “dream pop” to “indie-alternative”. They have put out two full albums under Eenie Meenie Records: 2007’s “Trading Daylight for Twilight” and 2009’s “Remind Me Where the Light Is”. They also have performed at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin Texas where “Friday Night Lights” films. In addition to “Friday Night Lights” Great Northern’s music has been featured on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “One Tree Hill”.
Look for this interview in the 19th edition of the podcast which will be posted on Thursday February 11th. Please feel free to email us questions for Great Northern at FridayNightLightsFan@gmail.com, tweet them at @FNL_Fan or leave them in the comments here!

Solon, have you considered discussing a possible ‘Mars reunion tour’(with your current band Great Northern, your old band 30 Seconds To Mars, and Matt Wachter’s current band Angels And Airwaves) with Jared (Leto) and Tom (DeLonge) (the frontmen for 30STM and Angels And Airwaves)? A few friends of mine and I think it would be an excellent idea.
P.S.
The idea was actually my friend’s, who you’ve met, but I totally back it. By the way, she says ‘hi’. (:
P.S.S.
I just started listening to your music, and i’m really diggin’ it. I forgot to mention: i’m a very curious person and I was wondering- how did you come up with the name for your band?
