SPOILER: It seems that we’re losing another cast member in season 5 of Friday Night Lights. We’re hearing that Jeremy Sumpter who has played J.D. McCoy for the past two seasons will not be reprising his role for the 5th (and most likely last) season of FNL.

I hope this is not true. It would be really disappointed.

That would be really strange for him to leave all of the sudden… But whatever, just please bring back Matt Saracon!!!

    S4 SPOILER WARNING …

No wonder they ‘divorced’ the McCoys. Makes for an easy explanation for an exit by the Boy Wonder.

Woo Hoo! I smell State for the Lions in S5. (That is not a spoiler … I can only hope!!) :)

Where is the source for this? I want to post this on my fansite for Jeremy Sumpter.

Jeremy’s manager confirmed today that Jeremy won’t be back for the 5th season:

Jeremy has decided to concentrate on movies so he won’t be back for a fifth season. “Friday Night Lights” has been a great experience for him and he was lucky to meet so many wonderful people (both cast and crew) on the show. We hope everyone will still support the show even though Jeremy will not be on it.
