Adrianne Palicki Joins new G.I. Joe Flick

NBC may not have picked up “Wonder Woman” but Adrianne Palicki is gearing up for action regardless, as the “Friday Night Lights” thesp has joined the cast of Paramount’s “G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.”
Palicki will play Lady Jaye, the squad’s covert ops specialist who can handle a crossbow and has a knack for impersonation. In the Marvel comic book and Sunbow animated series, the character also has a romance with warrant officer Flint, who Variety recently revealed will be played by D.J. Cotrona (”Detroit 1-8-7″).

Adrianne Palicki is NBC’s New Wonder Woman!

Here’s a piece of casting news that can only —especially given the situation — be described as super: Friday Night Lights beauty Adrianne Palicki has been tapped to star as Wonder Woman in the much-talked about pilot for NBC, TVLine has learned.
Executive-produced and penned by veteran small-screen auteur David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, Ally McBeal), TV’s new Wonder Womanwould actually have Palicki playing no less than three “roles”:
• The titular crimefighter, “reinvented” here as an L.A.-based vigilante
• Alter ego No. 1: Diana Themyscira, a mega-billionaire CEO
• Alter ego No. 2: Diana’s “plain Jane” assistant, Diana Prince. (Good luck with that one, makeup and wardrobe!

In her first gig since the swift cancellation of the praised Fox dramaLone Star, Adrianne Palicki has signed on to guest-star in an episode of Criminal Minds that pays homage to Oliver Stone’s seminal criminal satire Natural Born Killers. Palicki will play Syd, a tough, irreverent and sexually manipulative lunatic who sets out on a cross country killing spree with her badass sociopath husband Ray (The Black Donnellys‘ Jonathan Tucker).
