Aimee Teegarden’s “Beautiful Wave” To Premiere at Blue Ocean Film Festival

Posted by Kaitlin with No Comments

More than 85 ocean-related films have been chosen from an unprecedented number of entries for this year’s BLUE Ocean Film Festival, presented by Monterey Bay Aquarium from Aug. 24 to 29 in Monterey.

The festival will bring together films, filmmakers and leaders in ocean research and conservation. For a complete list of films and registration information, visit: www.blueoceanfilmfestival.org

During the festival, ocean-based events will take place in and around Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, including a swim Aug. 24 across the bay between Santa Cruz and Monterey by marathon swimmer Bruckner Chase. The film industry conference includes underwater and topside film and video instruction sessions within the sanctuary.

The films themselves cover 19 categories; three will premiere at BLUE.

“SOLA” is a documentary of the dramatic environmental impacts of the Southern Louisiana coastal ecosystem.

“Beneath the Blue” stars Paul Wesley, Caitlin Wachs and David Keith in a story about dolphin scientists, sonar and espionage.

Beautiful Wave,” a surfing drama set in Santa Cruz, stars Patricia Richardson, Aimee Teegarden, Helen Slater and Lance Henriksen.

Aimee Teegarden Set To Star In The Disney Movie ‘Prom’

Posted by Amy with No Comments

Disney has assembled the cast of Prom, its high-school comedy feature revolving around a group of teens and the emotional ups and downs they go through prepping for the big dance. The studio stuck to its original plan to cast mostly unknown young actors as the leads in the movie, which is eyed as a potential launching pad for a franchise in the mold of High School Musical and whose tone is said to be similar to John Hughes’ Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. Cast as the leads in Prom are: Thomas McDonell, Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights), Danielle Campbell, Nolan Sotillo, Yin Chang  (Gossip Girl), Jared Kusnitz (Surviving Suburbia), Nicholas Braun (10 Things I Hate About You), Ben Esler (The Pacific), Kylie Bunbury and DeVaughn Nixon. Joe Nussbaum is directing from a script by Katie Wech. Ted Griffin and Justin Springer are producing.

Sepinwall Includes Aimee Teegarden In His Ideal Supporting Actress Emmy List

Posted by Kaitlin with No Comments

When “Friday Night Lights” began, Aimee Teegarden wasn’t an obvious weak link the way Minka Kelly and Taylor Kitsch were (and Kitsch would, of course, evolve into one of the show’s most essential performers), but nor did she stand out in a very deep ensemble. That’s no longer the case. Julie Taylor can be as maddening and inconstant as any typical teenage girl, but Teegarden sells the hell out of her shifts and swings, and she had a lot to work with this year as Julie prepared to say goodbye to her parents, her boyfriend, and her town.

Ausiello:
That’s where Julie will be attending college in season 5. And this is the guy she’ll be majoring in (the young naked guy, not the old wrinkly dude.)
