TV Guide Reports that Lynn Blackburn Joins FNL Cast for Season 5

Friday Night Lights has recruited Lynn Blackburn for a recurring role in its fifth and final season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
As first reported by TVGuide.com, a younger, no-nonsense teacher will befriend East Dillon High’s newest faculty member, Tami Taylor (Connie Britton). Blackburn’s character, Laurel, will help Mrs. Taylor learn to approach the students differently.
A theater veteran, Blackburn has appeared in productions of Noises Off and Valley of the Dolls in Texas, where Friday Night Lights shoots.
Friday Night Lights‘ fourth season starts Friday, May 7 at 8/7c on NBC.
